Celebrating Female Teachers
Bright Junior School – Makerere celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th by highlighting female teachers’ vital role in nurturing and counselling pupils. We celebrated the dedication and hard work of our female teachers, who go above and beyond to support our pupil’s academic and personal growth. From providing emotional support and guidance to instilling a love of learning, our teachers are truly invaluable members of the school community.
“From our caring mothers, dedicated teachers, to our support staff who play an important role in shaping the future of children with counselling, spiritual guidance, life skills, providing emotional, educational and moral support.

Every day, I see the love and dedication our female staff bring to their work. Their maternal instincts and nurturing spirits create a warm and welcoming environment that is essential to the academic and personal success of our pupils. It is a privilege to work alongside such talented and compassionate women who truly embody the spirit of Women’s Day. Above all, we are grateful to God for blessing us with these amazing women.
So today, let us take a moment to honour the incredible women in our lives and recognize their vital role in shaping the world around us. Let us celebrate our strengths, our resilience and our unwavering love.” Mrs. Mary Gorretti Muhwezi, Bright Junior School, Director.
The school management also emphasized the importance of empowering young girls to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. Through education and mentorship, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers all pupils to succeed.
Bright Junior School – Makerere’s celebration of International Women’s Day is a testament to the school’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering young girls to become leaders in their communities.
